Found blueberries that had the apical bud that had broken open already.
I have seen an ornamental shrub with 3/4 inch of new growth.
Plum/prune buds were 1/2 long.
According to the plant, winter is nearly over but as Bill Bauer, hazelnut farmer said" In the Willamette Valley and it only takes a few hours to go from 40 degrees to sub zero." March 15 is a long ways away and January and February can be real cold!
